Well here we are again, another Lock City Drift event at Thompson Speedway. This time the weather was actually cooperating with everybody, spectators and drivers alike. This time around there were more divers, which would make sense with the warmer temperatures. B and C drivers split the skid pad in hour increments while the A drivers rule the road course. For some drivers making their first event of the season, the skid pad was a good area for them to warm up.
I started my day of shooting on the skid pad to warm up shooting and to scope the action. As the day progressed I moved over to the road course where the A drivers were absolutely killing it. There were so many great shot opportunities I actually ended up filling my 32 gigabyte SD card. Once I had my fill of shooting and filling my SD card it was my time to call it a day. Over the course of the day I met a lot of great people and I hope to make a few more events this season but I’m going to be limited with finishing school in the coming months.
