First and foremost, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your love and support.
RollHard would be nothing without you. Car culture belongs to all of us and we make it what it is, together.
We hope you enjoyed yourselves at Cressing, our brand new UK event. We were overwhelmed with the support shown and with such a massive variety of top quality cars from all around Europe it was a very proud day for us.
Behind the scenes:
It's quite weird to write about something so personal, which has been all-consuming for so long. For myself and the other guys involved, planning this year's event was a full blown obsession.
It’s a little known fact that since our RollHard Duxford event in 2013, we had been on the lookout for another unique venue, one we could really make our own as an annual fixture: a "home" for RollHard in UK, so to speak. Since September 14th 2013, trust us, WAY too much time has been spent searching.
It took us a long time to find it. 690 days precisely. It was summer 2015 and out of nowhere, I happened to visit Cressing Temple Barns in Essex. I will never forget the first time I saw those barns in all their medieval beauty. I'm no history geek, but the medieval barns, outbuildings and walled gardens with their red brick and beams make this is a pretty damn cool place to be.
RollHard HAD to be here. We needed this venue.
You can imagine my relief at finding Cressing. Our email was sent over straight away to their events team, however joy soon turned to disappointment as their response was a very short “we’re not looking to host any car shows at Cressing, sorry”.
So, back to the drawing board you might think? Well, it simply wouldn’t be the RollHard way if it came easy to us, so I put together an alternative proposal and the rest, as they say, is history.
Life lesson here: when someone tells you no, think of a new way of asking it and go again.
As you might tell, my first impressions were very good, but more than that, with every visit in preparation for August 14th 2016, we fell a little more in love with this place as we discovered things we hadn't noticed before.
On the day:
We had great weather, badminton, a cinema, superb traders and with over 650 cars from around the UK, Belgium, France and Germany making this was our biggest UK event to date. This was a massive team effort with over 35 helpers.

Because variety is the spice of life, we’re going to leave you with work from each of our contributing photographers. You’ll see how their unique styles tell our Cressing story in a different way… Enjoy!
