If you're reading this, you probably know something about us. To those who are new around here, we're a car enthusiast community for everyone.
So as 2016 draws to a close we look back on some of our favourite moments from the past year, and reflect on how things have played out.
We've featured some amazing cars this year and it has been an honour to tell the owner's story with each one. We feel privileged to have showcased some of our favourite cars on this site and on our social media.
We would like to say out a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. Everyone reading this right now, everyone who came to see us at the shows, engaged with our social media, shared our posts and who visited our store, we simply couldn't have got here without you.
Of course, we can’t really talk about 2016 without mentioning our own events. In the UK, we hosted RollHard: The Show at the super chilled setting of Cressing medieval barns in Essex, whilst in mainland Europe, our Belgian brothers and sisters organised yet another awesome event in Aarchot, Belgium with RollHard: The Belgian Chapter. "RollHard August" was an absolute blast for us. We hope you enjoyed attending our events as much as we did hosting them.
Both RH events will be back in 2017. Watch this space...
Looking back at last 12 months, the rise of “non-VAG” has been a real highlight for us. We love out-of-the-box thinking and our mantra is “All Makes, All Models, One Community…” - after all, we’ve been a mixed marque group since day one.
This year, trends have come and gone, we’ve had controversy, praise and hate in equal measure but, no matter what, our universal love for cars always wins.
For some, this year has been “business as usual” whilst for others, new events, new products and fresh thinking has moved things along nicely. 2016 has been a year of evolution, not revolution.
Our favourite automotive events of this year were VW Days in France and Players Classic in England, both for the social aspect. Put a beer in our hand and we’ll talk about cars all day long, that's just the way we like to do things.
In a “scene” dominated by internet, the car community just keeps on growing and growing. The world has never been a smaller place thanks to the internet, which can only be a good thing, if you ask us.
Our enjoyment of cars has continued to morph into something wonderfully weird, dictated in part by social media. In 2016, if you wanted internet fame, you got it, but nothing will ever replace getting out on the open road, making new friends and creating your own adventures.
Our cars are supposed to be fun, don’t forget that!
We would also like to congratulate LikeHell, ILoveBass, Slam Sanctuary, Fitted UK and Slammed UK for moving things in the right direction and continuing to challenge expectations. What is it they say? “Adapt or die”. Amen to that.
Our “scene” needs a shake-up. Let’s cause a stir, together.
This year, cars have continued to make us smile and keep us talking, making the long days at work a lot more bearable, knowing the next car related activity with friends isn't far off.
Our objective is to bring car enthusiasts together.
Everything you see with the RollHard name has been built from the ground up, by us. The result of blood, sweat and tears by a group of car enthusiast friends. Nothing more, nothing less. We just love cars.
Behind the scenes, we have been working hard on big plans for the coming year. We all still have regular day jobs and it's not easy to find the time but we always do, simply because we love what we do.
Together, we can change the perception of modified car culture and everyone is part of that. This is our community.
Looking forward to 2017, we can’t bloody wait. Stay tuned to RollHard for more car related fun. Enjoy the journey with us, everyone is welcome.
Over and out. We’ll see you at shows throughout 2017.
We Are RollHard. <3
