Rollhard x Bicester 7.0

Rollhard x Bicester 7.0 was more than a car show. A weekend of carefully curated cars, passionate owners and the Rollhard community coming together at Bicester Motion. From Saturday evening through to show day, it was all about great cars, great people and the details that make the event unique.

A Weekend of Cars, Curation and Community

There is something about our event at Bicester that has always been difficult to explain until you have experienced it. It is of course a car show, But the cars are only part of what makes the weekend what it is. This year, that feeling started on Saturday evening.

An Evening at Bicester

Before the gates opened on Sunday, we gathered at Bicester Motion for our evening event.

The evening before the main event has become an important part of the weekend for us. It gives people the chance to arrive early, catch up with friends travelling from across the country and most importantly, enjoy the cars without the pressure and pace of show day.

With cars already on display around the site, the atmosphere felt very different to Sunday. More relaxed, more intimate, but still unmistakably Rollhard.

It is also one of the few opportunities we get to properly enjoy what we have created. By the time Sunday arrives, the team are moving constantly, directing cars, dealing with the inevitable last-minute jobs and trying to make sure everything runs as it should.

Saturday evening gives us a moment to step back.

And this year, looking around at the cars gathered in the Hanger and Paddock, it was hard not to appreciate just how far the event has come.

The Cars Come First

The foundation of Rollhard x Bicester has always been the same, We aren't interested in filling the venue simply because we can. The whole point of the event is to curate a collection of cars that people genuinely want to see.

That means looking beyond the obvious.

It means recognising the work that has gone into a beautifully restored classic just as much as a heavily modified build. It means appreciating motorsport-inspired cars, period-correct builds, unconventional projects and cars that simply have something about them that makes you stop and look twice.

This year's selection once again reflected that approach.

Walking around the site, there was no single definition of what a Rollhard car should be. Instead, there was a common thread running through everything: individuality, quality and an owner who cared about getting the details right.

That is what makes the curation process so difficult and ultimately so rewarding.

Every application represents someone's time, money and passion. Saying no to a car is never something we take lightly, but the event only works when the selection has a clear identity.

A Show Built by People Who Care

The cars may be the reason people come through the gates, but the people are what make the weekend.

That has become increasingly obvious as Rollhard x Bicester has grown.

Friends who have been part of Rollhard for years stand alongside people attending for the first time. Builders travel from all over the country and Europe. Photographers, filmmakers and creatives spend the day documenting cars that they have been following online for years.

Then there are the people behind the scenes.

The team who spend months planning the event. The people arriving before everyone else and leaving long after the last car has gone. The owners who spend weeks preparing their cars. The photographers who walk until their feet hurt. The people who simply turn up, walk around and share the experience with friends.

All of those people contribute to what Rollhard x Bicester has become.

More Than One Day

One of the things we have enjoyed most about this year's event is that it no longer feels like a single day.

Saturday evening, the conversations, the cars arriving, the anticipation.

Then Sunday morning, the site coming alive and the carefully selected cars beginning to fill Bicester.

And eventually, the quiet return as the cars leave and the team are left looking across a site that only a few hours earlier was completely full.

It is a lot of work for a relatively small independent team and every year there is a point where we question whether we can do it again.

Then the cars arrive.

And we remember why.

Seven editions in, the event continues to evolve, but the original idea remains intact.

Bring together an exceptional collection of cars, put them somewhere special, and create an environment where the people behind those cars can enjoy them too.

This year's event was another reminder that the strength of the Rollhard community isn't measured by how big it becomes, but by how much people continue to care.

About the cars.

About the details.

About the people.

And about creating something that feels genuinely different.

Thank you to everyone who brought a car, travelled to Bicester, captured the weekend, supported the event, helped behind the scenes or simply came along to enjoy it.

Rollhard x Bicester 7.0 is done.

The notes have been taken.

And, inevitably, we're already thinking about the next one.
