If you haven’t heard of VW Days or Club Golf IDF then you really need to reassess your show calendar plans for 2018. In spite of this show’s huge size and popularity, it somehow retains a ‘best kept secret’ vibe outside of France, which is why we keep coming back for more year-on-year.
VW Days brings one hell of a party to the rural (and very traditionally French) town of St Quentin. We try not to offend the locals by speaking some French, but ultimately, GCSE level doesn't really cut it. The local people here are friendly, anyway.
At the show, you're greeted by a sea of highly modified VW’s. You will find yourself surrounded by hardcore French VW fans who have nothing but love for the VW brand. Nobody does German quite like the French.
Our favourite thing about VW Days is that it’s not only about the cars. This is a social club. Nobody cares what you're driving as long as you made it here.
We drink, laugh and eat our way through another fantastic weekend in France, all the while surrounded by some of Europe's hottest cars and some of the car scene's nicest people. If you love drinking beer and talking about cars until 3am then this is definitely the show for you. The attitude here is exactly as it should be.
As with previous years, the sun scorches and Monday morning bring tan lines and red bits. It's just part and parcel of this weekend in France.
For now, we'll leave you with a whole bunch of photos from the VW Days 2017 show weekend… let's toast to yet another successful year for VW Days team. Mille mercis!
