Here we are, the end of the 2022 show calendar, which means it's time for our annual trip over to The Essen Motorshow in Germany. With Covid having an effect on the attendance of both cars and people in previous years it was great to check this monster of a show and see it back to how it was, without a mask!
The show itself has something from all corners of the automotive community, but with an ever-growing presence, the 'Tuning Xpeirance' hall is the main attraction for us.
With the long walk around spotting some highlights from the 7 other halls, it was time to check out some of the best-modified metal from Europe. The hall was packed and it was a struggle to get close to most of the builds, but there were some absolute gems.
From the classic 911 wide-body kit to the slammed Mercedes G-Wagon, the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail was clearly visible. It was amazing to see the different takes on car styling and modifications, while also being inspiration to take our own builds to the next level.
The event was a great opportunity to catch up with some of the local tuners, get some tips and tricks, and get our butts in gear to complete some of our cars. It was a great way to end the year and we can’t wait to see what next year's show brings!
This year we got to spend some time with Khyzyl (@the_kyza) and get up close to some of the cars in Europe that wear his kits. With the added bonus of Mapet Tuning's Corvette C3, which was built based on one of Khyzyl's renders.
Until next year, we look forward to seeing more from The Essen Motorshow.
