RollHard x The Stockyard: A Different Kind of Evening

There’s something about taking cars out of their usual setting and bringing people together somewhere a little different. On 26 September, we did exactly that as RollHard headed to The Stockyard in Melton Mowbray for a new kind of event.

After years of putting on shows and bringing the community together, we’re always looking at ways to do things differently without losing sight of what RollHard is about. This time the idea was simple, good cars, good people and an evening spent enjoying both.

Cars, people and a change of pace

The Stockyard gave us a different backdrop to what we’re used to. Rather than another full day of cars and a packed schedule, this was about slowing things down and letting the evening take shape.

Running from 5pm until 10pm, the event brought together a carefully selected display of cars alongside food, drinks and the chance to catch up with familiar faces or meet some new ones. As the evening drew in, the setting offered a different atmosphere to our usual daytime shows.

It’s easy to get caught up in the cars themselves, but the people around them have always been just as important to us. The conversations, the friendships and the shared interest in what everyone brings along are what make these gatherings worth doing.

Keeping things independent

RollHard has always been built around doing things our own way. We’re not interested in making events bigger for the sake of it or filling a space just to put a number on the gate. The focus remains on the cars, the people and creating an environment where everyone can enjoy being part of the community.

That approach carried through to The Stockyard. A different venue, a different time of day and a slightly different format, but the same thinking behind it.

As we continue to develop what RollHard looks like beyond our annual show at Bicester, evenings like this give us the opportunity to explore new ideas and bring the community together in different settings.

What's next?

The Stockyard was another step in that direction, and we're grateful to everyone who came along, displayed a car, supported the event or helped make it happen behind the scenes.

As the 2026 show season winds down, our attention starts turning back towards the workshop, the projects and everything we have planned for the months ahead. There’s plenty happening behind the scenes, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of that over the winter.

Keep your eyes peeled because we will be announcing what we are unto in 2027 in the coming weeks.
