Rollhard x Bicester 6.0 – A Year Like No Other
This year’s Rollhard x Bicester marked our sixth show at Bicester Heritage and without doubt, it was the most challenging yet. From the outside, it’s easy to see the cars, the crowds, and the atmosphere, but behind the scenes, this one took a lot to get over the line.
Applications came in faster than ever before, with nearly 3,500 entries to sift through. We had to close them earlier than planned just to keep things manageable. The task then was to curate a show that made every corner of the site feel special, while still protecting the unique atmosphere Rollhard has become known for.
This year also introduced something new: our Saturday evening gathering, “An Evening at Bicester.” A relaxed meet in the paddock and hangar, featuring a small curated lineup, alongside food and drink vans. It set the tone perfectly for the weekend, with friends catching up, conversations flowing, and everyone soaking in the atmosphere before Sunday’s main event.
Among the highlights of Sunday were the parades. First up, the Gentsuki Gentlemen’s Club with their scooters, always guaranteed to put smiles on faces, followed by the LaynPlay parade which has become a staple of the weekend. Both brought a buzz through the site and added another layer to the show’s character.
This year has been a tricky one to plan, but what carried us through was the people. Our community of friends, builders, traders, photographers, and attendees many of whom travelled huge distances to be part of it. From France, Ireland, Scotland, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, the dedication and effort people made to get here was nothing short of incredible. That support kept us going, especially after what’s been a difficult year for Bicester Heritage. From helping set up, to showing up with positivity and energy, you reminded us why we do this.
And of course, no Rollhard show would be complete without our Favourite Ten Awards. This year, the winners received more than just recognition:
-
A Carbon Collective show cleaning maintenance bag
-
A custom Rollhard x Carbon Collective Quick Detailer
-
Fudge To You sweet packs
-
And our best awards yet, a mini SSR MK2 wheel trophy
We also want to give a special thank you to John Ludwick who, along with his partner Kayla, flew over from the USA to present the Ludwick Garage Favourite Award. Having their support and involvement meant a lot to us and to the community, and we’re grateful they made the trip to be part of Rollhard x Bicester 6.0.
Finally, a huge thank you goes to the specialists within the Tech Site who opened their doors on the day. Having access to those spaces brings an extra dimension to the event and helped showcase Bicester Heritage in a way that made the whole weekend feel even more special.
As always, we stayed true to what Rollhard is about, no big-name sponsors, no corporate branding, no strings attached. This show is built by us, for you, powered entirely by passion and the belief that car culture should be authentic and inclusive.
Rollhard x Bicester 6.0 wasn’t easy, but it was real and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
